Postgraduate Degrees

1. Qualification Requirement

The admission process assesses a student´s ability to enrol in and successfully complete the course of their choice in the permitted time. Suitability of applicants to study a particular course is to a large extent determined by the admission rules and academic requirements.

Entry into any of the award courses the College offers is open to all applicants who possess a relevant Bachelor degree and or a Graduate degree from a recognised institution either in Australia and or overseas.

Those who have not completed a formal degree may be admitted into the program provided that they have at least completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a recognised institution or hold an equivalent qualification and have relevant industry experience. Eligibility for admission through the flexible entry will be determined on a case by case basis (a charge may apply for assessing certain cases).

2. English Level Requirement

For admission into one of the award courses APIC requires as a minimum one of the following English qualifications:

  • Academic IELTS: Overall band score of 6.5 or better with no band below 6.0;
  • TOEFL: 577 or better plus Test of Written English (TWE) at 4.5+;

  • Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English: Grades A or B;

The qualification must be less than 2 years old. The exception is when a student has completed an academic course at an English speaking institution or can otherwise demonstrate the required minimum English proficiency.

Those who do not meet the English requirements can be referred to English language centres to complete intensive courses in English prior to commencing their award courses at APIC.
