Overview
BMGP – EAM aims at developing a superior class of (transformative) managers who have a sound foundation in general management with specialist knowledge and competency in enterprise asset management. The EAM is a core organisational competency whose importance has been recognised over recent years, especially in the industries that rely on capital intensive assets for competitiveness. EAM is the key in getting the maximum out of tangible and intangible assets. It concerns with making sound long-term investment decisions, as well as coping with short-term demand fluctuations in line with market and customer shifts. Successful EAM requires professionals with broader managerial skills, and specific EAM leadership competencies in order to manage organisational assets effectively. The BMGP – EAM is designed to develop managers with leadership abilities and competence to shape and manage modern day asset-intensive enterprises, set up sophisticated decision support systems, and implement effective asset investment, replacement and life extension schemes. It is fully aligned with the dynamics of this field and embeds a situational leadership approach to learning and development.
