Marketing/Executive Officer

APIC is a registered Australian Higher Education Institution providing accredited graduate degrees in business and project management as well as professional development and corporate training in Australia and overseas. APIC´s clients are major companies who rely on project-based management for their commercial success (see www.apicollege.com for more information). APIC is set to experience substantial growth in the near future.

We have created a new position for a Marketing/Executive Officer who is organised, self motivated, result orientated, professional, confident and with ability to communicate (written and verbal) at all levels. To be successful you will need to be able to work with and without supervision, work as part of the team, accept responsibility for outcomes, juggle multiple initiatives and deliver on time with high accuracy.

You will be part of a team responsible for the marketing of the College educational programs and business services reporting directly to the Operations Manager. Your responsibilities will include (but not restricted to) development of marketing database, design/production of brochures, website design/maintenance, organising meetings with potential customers, seeking sponsorships, following up potential customers/sponsors, organise seminars/speaking engagements, and obtain endorsement/ accreditation from related organisations.

You will be expected to participate in conventions, conferences, exhibitions, other forms of marketing/business promotion activities, client relations and associated tasks.

You will need to have a marketing or related degree and at least 3 years track record in marketing or related tasks preferably in an educational organisation. It will be advantageous if you have formal training in IT or at least have a good working knowledge of IT/website maintenance.

We offer an attractive salary (commensurate with your experience) and a performance bonus.

As this is a newly created role, you will be expected to be actively involved in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and procedures. You will have to be able to take ownership of the marketing department and its direction.

Marketing/Executive Job Description (tentative)

  • Develop and apply a marketing and promotional plan to recruit students
  • Direct calls to potential corporate customers to organise meeting/briefings/presentations/etc
  • Seek sponsors and donors with Directors and Program Managers´ help
  • Tracking and follow up with potential customers and sponsors
  • Tracking and monitoring of the relevant professional bodies
  • Organise seminars and speaking engagements
  • Participations in conventions and conferences, exhibitions and other forms
  • Develop and implement all other forms of marketing and business promotions
  • Develop marketing database and track the marketing performance of the College
  • Assist with the design and production of relevant brochures Web site design and maintenance
  • Design and maintenance of free on-line web services and attractions to increase web site hits
  • Input into course design and development (particularly from customers´ perspective)

Administrative Services Officer

The position of the Administrative Services Officer is available in January 2009. The applicant will work as part of a professional team at APIC. The successful candidate is expected to be organised, self motivated, result orientated, professional, confident and with ability to communicate (written and verbal) at all levels. You will need to be able to work with and without supervision, work as part of the team, accept responsibility for outcomes, juggle multiple initiatives and deliver on time with high accuracy.

Your responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Assistance with administration, including IT systems
  • Assistance with accounting, including cash receipts, invoicing, petty cash, statutory payments, records etc
  • Attending to students and clients when visiting the office
  • Attendance at exhibitions and functions in the country and overseas if necessary
  • Intercept and answer calls, organise meetings, etc
  • Organising and assisting in document design, typesetting, binding, submission etc
  • General administrative tasks

You will be expected to participate in conventions, conferences, exhibitions and other forms of marketing/business promotion activities, client relations and associated tasks.

The successful candidates is expected to be competent with suitable qualification and appropriate experience preferably gained in an educational environment. Applicants who have formal training in IT or at least have a command of IT tools and processes are preferred.

Educational Technologist/Librarian

APIC is a new concept not-for-profit organisation which will provide professional development and corporate training in Australia and overseas. We have created a new position for an Educational Technologist/Librarian who has the appropriate qualifications and trackrecord and is organised, self motivated, result orientated, professional, confident and with ability to communicate (written and verbal) at all levels. To be successful you will need to be able to juggle multiple projects and deliver on time with high accuracy.

You will be part of a team responsible for the development, maintenance and continuous improvements of courseware, tools, media and other learning resources.

You will need to have an appropriate qualification, preferably a graduate degree in Educational Technology and at least 3 years proven track record in e-learning technologies, including web services design and programming, contents development and associated tasks. It will be advantageous if you have formal training in IT or at least have a good working knowledge of IT/web services techniques.

We offer a competitive salary (commensurate with your experience) and performance bonus.
