Workshop Title: Project/Program Human Resources, Teamwork Communication and Integration Management

Short Summary*
This workshop focuses on 3 core knowledge areas relevant to project/program management, namely: (1) project human resources assessment and organisational design (including human dynamics, leadership and team management); (2) communication management; and (3) integration management. The aims are to develop and or enhance and formalise the participants' knowledge in project human resources and teamwork management, communication management and integration management, reflecting state-of-the art practice and in line with recognised Standards such as A Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) NSCPM, IPMA ICB, P2M and ISO10006. In short, participants are to develop and or benchmark their fundamental knowledge with respect to:
- project integration design and management, via a systems approach;
- project team definition, roles and responsibilities, authority and functions;
- project human resources assessment, development and management;
- design and development of high performance teams;
- basics of information, communication and documentation management;
- management of Integration, human resources and teams, and communication throughout the project/program life cycle;
Notes:
*Intensive lecture sessions in each unit are followed by tutorial and case studies or project work sessions for deep learning outcomes. A knowledge assessment will be conducted for those participants wishing to obtain a Certificate of Completion of a given unit of study.
