Asia Pacific International College is a student-centred and customer-focused higher education institution offering postgraduate degree courses and open learning. It operates on the basis of modern management principles, blending entrepreneurship with speed, openness, flexibility, and forward thinking. APIC´s core competitive advantage is its ability to deliver its courses and services to any organisation and any individual around the globe. APIC recognises that for it to be successful and effective, it must work internationally within a network of partners and suppliers to respond to the changing demand of students and customers, and to provide meaningful graduate education and professional development services.
APIC provides rigorous academic and professional development courses that are not just qualification oriented but seek to impart higher level competencies and meta cognitive abilities to students. We emphasise creative reflective (transformative) learning and development. APIC partners with organisations in both public and private sectors, acting as a catalyst to release the creative energy and intellect of the people and true potential of the organisation. APIC is a self-funding institution, operating within the higher education framework aligned with the Australian Qualifications Framework and associated accreditation criteria. APIC´s courses and programs do not generally compete with those on offer locally. Its chief aim is to enrich the experience and to further the development of all graduates.
History
Accredited and registered in July 2006, APIC is an innovative Postgraduate College that provides graduate qualifications and training services for individuals and organisations keen on improving their standards in Project, Program and Portfolio Management. APIC´s foundation is strongly based on the professional expertise and research of Professor Ali Jaafari (PhD, ME, MSc, CPEng, FIEAust), Professor and President of the College. Professor Jaafari´s expertise in Project, Program and Portfolio Management spans over 20 years and numerous educational initiatives that revolve around project-based learning and teamwork.
